Illinois to Missouri to Florida to British Columbia to Maryland...where will I go next?

Dilemma
So while I'm in Canada, I'd like to meet an actual Mountie, but without being in any actual trouble. I'm at a loss as to how to accomplish this though. Any ideas??

Ask for help crossing the street?
What about that service where you call up a cop to walk you to your car at night because it could be dangerous?
post 'wanted' signs or place a personal ad in the paper! ;)
... or find out where they hang out or are stationed and then stroll by regularly ...
... And then you could trip and sprain your ankle to make them "rescue" you!
