Updates

So the Canadian health care story can wait just a bit... Here's the random update. I have a job interview! Ok, so it's for a part time receptionist job in Maryland at the Washington Animal Rescue League (www.warl.org)..only 14 hours per week. BUT they said if it's slow, I can always take out a puppy! Now that's a job perk I could enjoy! hee hee

Anyway, the interview is next Thursday, so I have to decide if I'll go out to Maryland a bit earlier than I thought, or if I'll get by on a phone interview. I also probably have an opportunity to do some temporary t-shirt work for a company in St. Louis thanks to a friend there. I guess slowly but surely, I'll build up something resembling full time pay...perhaps benefits will follow.

Oh, and tomorrow I'm speaking for a high school media & film class. My former band director locked me into speaking some time after my graduation. They actually just had a film festival showing the seniors' short film work, and it's fairly impressive considering it's a high school class that the school didn't even have a few years ago! Ok, so I guess this was the 5 year anniversary of the festival, but still..they didn't have it when I went to school there. Soo..it should be interesting to meet some of these students who at least have some interest in film work! And in case you're wondering, no...I don't really know what I'll be talking about yet, but I like off the cuff stuff best anyway.
