After Grad

Wow...it's been over a week since graduation. Crazy! It's weird not having to go in to school every day. I'd say that was the really nice part, but I've really just replaced the stress of school with the stress of job hunting. Sigh... The good news is, my sister Julie is still here! She came for graduation before returning to Korea to teach for a year, but a snag in her work Visa has her here at least another week. I can't really complain. ;)

So we've been doing touristy things...stuff that I want to do before I leave and things she wants to do while she's here. Today was the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge. Earlier in the week we went to a nature park, IKEA (yes, that's tourist-worthy!), a Buddhist temple, Stanley Park, China Town, and have done massive walking around downtown Vancouver. I've got lots of fun pictures!

I have also applied to two companies for sound jobs. Of course, I have a lot more applying to do. My search field is still wide open, but I think I'm leaving Vancouver on March 20th as that's the most convenient date for my friend to help me move. Sadly, my apartment has already been rented, and I am actively advertising furniture for sale. It doesn't matter where I go or what I've done, it's always hard saying good-bye. Of course, there's a good chance I'll return to Vancouver for one thing or another. I already have several friends who want to hire me for project based sound jobs! I just can't afford to stick around for 2 weeks of work...but maybe they can fly me places to work for them in the future! yay!!
