Sore, But So Worth It (of course, ask me again tomorrow)

So today I finally went skiing and kayaking for the first time! yup..both in one day! And I had some massive wipe-outs while skiing, though no flipping in the kayak. The best ski wipe-out resulted in my going face-first, losing a ski and my hat. Impressive. I hope I don't have whiplash or something from that one because my head hurt for a minute..I also wrenched my knee once. Yeah...i'm going to feel this something fierce tomorrow. And go me for taking out the arms with kayaking and then everything else with skiing. Great for packing since I leave Thursday morning! Oh boy.... But hey, I wouldn't be me if I didn't do something crazy right about now.

I really enjoyed both, but I can say I just did the easy slopes on skiing...and I think those were too hard for just learning to turn and such. yikes! But hey, it'll help me for when I go next time. And hooray for ladies' night when the slope pass is free!

I've been crazy busy enjoying one adventure after another with my sister this month (she's still here due to visa red tape, but she should leave a day or 2 after I do..check her blog link for more stories). Saturday night was my going away party in a sense...lots of classmates and friends showed up for a very fun, casual evening. I'm going to miss everyone!!..probably more once my body stops hurting from today. i won't be able to focus on anything else until then.. ;)

(yes, it's highly possible the skiing picture of the two of us was taken by drunken skiers...haha)

For a newbie skier, you are pulling off the cute snow bunny thing way better than I. I look more like a crazy nun out enjoying my new wool-y habit! Aaaand~ why is it my legs are the ones that look broken?? I'm not the one with the nasty falls and animated snowball tumbles down the slopes!
Oh well ... At least I'm a daring and fun nun ~:/

The nun apparently kayaks too.
