Hooray for birthdays! So for my 29th birthday, I decided to try for a nice dinner with my new friends. Tracey is my neighbor and David is in the Game Design program here. I was interested in finding an Italian place, so Tracey suggested this place on 5th Ave. and Burrard St. called "Chianti". Oh it was such a cute little Italian restaurant! Of course, we did have to wait an hour to get in. But it was worth it! I ordered my favorite classic Italian dish...Gnocchi in meat sauce. mmm! With mushrooms too. And I have leftovers.
After dinner, we came back to my apartment to have cake...Oreo cake. Yum! We just hung out for a bit, enjoyed the cake, chatted, and watched my crazy cats. It was actually a really nice evening. Wish all of my friends and family could've been here, but it's ok. Gotta share the birthday wealth with Canada!
