Tonight on Smallville...

So tonight's "Smallville" episode ended up being the one with the Mr. Freeze-like storyline. The one in which the actress from our student film had an audition for the not-so-dead "true love". It's funny, in reading a synopsis for the show, you wouldn't know it was about what I knew it was about as our actress read a part of the script to us during the student film. Of course, most of her script was blacked out...so we didn't know that Dean Cain (former Superman himself) was the evil immortal keeping his love interest alive with meteor freak victims! Ok, so if you didn't watch the episode, this is probably a bit cryptic. It's irrelevant as the episode was pretty dumb, but the end of the story is that our student film actress was NOT the "timeless beauty" in the episode...she didn't get the part...and she missed her shot at a death scene that involved past (Dean Cain) and present (Tom Welling) supermen...now if she'd had a scene with Brandon Routh (my new favorite Superman), I'd have been more impressed! Guess I'll save my Superman degrees of separation for my contacts with Iowegians, as opposed to Vancouverian actresses.
