Last weekend I had an extra day off thanks to Queen Victoria. With school, there really isn't much time off...but I did manage to have time for at least 1 day of free time. Apprently, it's not a national holiday...just one for the province of British Columbia. I won't complain though since this weekend is Memorial Day in the states, and I don't get that off. At least there was sort of a trade.
Of course, lately the darn Canadian Geese have been out in full force, so I don't really get to sleep in. I think an entire flock of them have camped outside my apartment building and like to honk their heads off at 5:30am. My cats love it...they know there are big birds nearby that they must hunt. I, however, just want them to shut up. Funny, how I've previously thought that, for geese, Canadian ones are prettier and nicer (stemming from one year when a Canadian goose stayed all year at our lake, and was far friendlier than our local evil geese)...but no, they are evil honkers, all.
After a few days, the honking seemed to move on...let's hope so! Maybe they just went a bit north to Stanley park where I saw a cute family hanging out...and those cute girls just watching them from afar!
