Wii Would Like To Play

Sorry it's been awhile. I had been on spring break, and then this past first week of classes was crazy busy! But I did make it to Orlando for spring break, and it was just wonderful. It was nice to wear shorts after dealing with winter chill longer than I'd been accostomed to in years. Of course, being Orlando, it bordered on too hot for the season already. That wasn't really an issue though since the big deal was that I got to see most of my friends there! We went to a movie, went to Ale House - Moe's - & Panera (yum!!!), went shopping (they showed me a new cheap clothes store, and I found my illusive pink hair dye! but that will have to wait a few months yet), did your general hanging out, went to a birthday party, saw a few new houses, enjoyed the wonder of DVR again, finished my friend Amber's wedding invitations, popped into Epcot briefly and saw the fireworks...and played....Nintendo Wii!

Now, this is not the first time I've played the Wii, but it was with the most people, and that's definitely one of the finer qualities of it...group play! We all played Wii sports, and some expansion set of games which included billiards and neon-looking pong. It was all a lot of fun, but bowling worked the best. I was able to start playing early in the afternoon at Rob & Erin's house, but as people finished up errands and work, they stopped by. So of course then we had to order pizza and just make it a Wii party! I am SO getting a Wii somehow after I graduate. They are just too darn fun. (besides, I do better at Wii bowling than I do at real bowling...this isn't much of a surprise, but it certainly helps to get one addicted!)

Sadly, I had to leave (which was even tougher knowing I had 12 hours of traveling for the way back...2 planes, and 1 four hour bus ride. yuck. At least i got to see the Needle in Seattle while on that bus. can't complain...this really was the cheapest way). Once back in Vancouver, it was raining as usual...but I did manage to finally get to Stanley Park on one really pretty sunny day. Wow...that place is beautiful. Just really nice to walk around...the trees, the seawall, the totem poles...just gorgeous. I definitely want to got there a few times while I'm here...I'd love to go all the time, but school will keep me too busy I'm afraid. After the first week of classes, i already have 3 projects due within a week and a half!

That evening, I was invited to another friend's party and there was a Wii there too. Seriously...this is THE go-to party game these days. This party was quite crowded and so I just watched the Wii playing...some weird games I'd never heard of. But that was still fun. I really can't wait to graduate now. Is wanting a Wii the wrong motivation for that? Eh...it really just means I want to hang out with my friends and play games all the time. I'm ok with that!

Sounds like an epidemic. I have yet to be infected.

I played Wii for the first time today (despite the fact that Brad's brother and Justin have them, and I've been in both places 80% of my time in the last 2 months). I suck. I especially suck at wii bowling. I'm better at real life bowling, and I suck at that too.
